(TAST) operates as the largest Burger King franchisee in the United States and a provider of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurants, functioning as a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International Inc. following its acquisition in May 2024 for approximately $1.0 billion. The company owns and operates over 1,000 Burger King quick-service restaurants featuring flame-grilled Whopper sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken and specialty sandwiches, wraps, French fries, breakfast items, snacks, and soft drinks; and approximately 55 Popeyes locations offering Louisiana-inspired menus including fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, tenders and wings, fried shrimp, seafood, red beans and rice, and regional sides, primarily across 23 Northeastern, Midwestern, Southcentral, and Southeastern states from its headquarters in Syracuse, New York, where it was founded in 1960 and employs over 26,000 people. In 2024, Restaurant Brands International completed the acquisition of Carrols to support its Reclaim the Flame initiative, committing $500 million to remodel more than 600 Burger King restaurants with plans to refranchise the majority to smaller operators over seven years while integrating operations into a new Restaurant Holdings segment.
