I know morningstar covers them. You might want to check out their analysis, I know they're bullish on BWA.
Anyone here follow BWA? Starting look into them, seeing if anyone has any thoughts or opinions.
Thanks.
Spent yesterday updating analysts 12-month price target scenarios for my entire watch list (~400 companies), after latest earnings baked in...and the top 10 farthest from analysts' targets as of noon today (i.e., largest upside)...
CRSP, APA, BWA, MRNA, GPK, F, AMAT, UNH, NXPI, GOOGL, all >30% below target prices
Posted about BWA earnings this morning. Market seems pretty about it.
I don’t own any shares but it’s an interesting way to play autos and evs.
$BWA reported this morning. I don’t own them, but have been following.
Q4 Non-GAAP EPS of $1.26 beats by $0.18.
Revenue of $4.11B (+12.6% Y/Y) beats by $220M.
2O23 Outlook: Net sales are expected to be in the range of $16.7-$17.5B, compared with 2022 sales of $15.8B. This implies a YOY organic increase in sales of 7% to 12%. Adj, operating margin is expected to be in the range of 10.0%-10.4%. Net EPS $3.81 to $4.13/diluted share
Electric Vehicle Sales $1.5B-$1.8B
52 yo with at least a 15 year time horizon before needing to start touching anything. Several accounts across me and my spouse, some tax advantaged, some not, some managed, some self-managed. Largely buy and hold. And hold and hold. And buy. Had a wee bit of a diversification scare in the late 90's which may have left a lasting impression.

No position, but BWA looks petty cheap compared to their growth right now.

I despise websites where the contact us instills no confidence.
it is my #1 goto, I hit that page, and look for a phone # and physical address
(and an email address)
sometimes I put that address into google maps to make sure it's not a mailbox for hire location...
That standard 'form from hell' uninspires me more than anything else about sale sites.

What? this is E-Commerce... not brick and mortar,
the retailer better have evidence of purchase.
ertain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
If you DO NOT SELL ANY OF THESE ITEMS, why mention it? because you copy & pasted this from somewhere (not a confidence builder)
"And then the world will be mine bwa ha ha"
Need BWA to hire me so that I can think about markets and math all day everyday for the rest of this pathetic life
I’d kill for an internship at BWA 😭😭😭
The dental community is fairly small. We have a very good idea what people make. I know you feel like the research you've done is accurate, but the truth is, it's not.
Even a simple search for Associate Dentist positions on Indeed will show that $160k/yr is bottom of the barrel. And mind you, the majority of associates are new graduates. With experience or ownership, that income goes up drastically.
I'm not trying to blow hot steam, it's just so ironic that I used to think the same as you. I looked at those same numbers as you, and I thought that's what I'd be making. Turns out, that's what I made my first year and it had only gone up significantly every year for the next several years.

Sounds like a double beat and good guidance from BWA
> The auto supplier also issued solid guidance despite the inflation headwinds it is facing. BWA expects full-year oragnic sales to be up 11% to 14% and EPS to land in a range of $4.00 to $4.40 vs. $3.90 to $4.25 prior and $4.02 consensus. Operating margin of 8.4% to 8.8% is anticipated for the year and operating cash flow of $1.50B to $1.55B vs. $1.57B.
God help me. After looking at the attempted takeover that's, ummmm "hinted at" (bwa-haaa!!) in the stockholder proposals on Tesla's ballot, the only choice I have is to buy more so I can vote more. 3 for 1 in no time at all... WHEEEEEEEEE!

My portfolio is almost 50% down, any hope ?
Just started buying BWA, MU, INTC, GOOG, DIS, GLW, U
Will add Ford if it drops under 10 and SoFi if it drops under 5 (very speculative)
Also interested in DE and CAT. and maybe RIVN if I can get it under 7 a share.
I DCA in small amounts on BWA, MU, INTC, GOOG, DIS, GLW, and U cause I'm not sure we've even come close to a bottom but I also cant forecast the future!!
He’s thinking “I’ll show that kid they tried to track my jet!, I’ll buy it all! Bwa-ha-ha-ha! I’ll show them all!!”
I've been DCA in QQQ, F, BWA, JPM, INTC, DIS, GOOG
And DCA small amount in SOFI and RKLB for high risk plays.
Looking at CAT, DE, VISA, SONY, RKT , and maybe LOW or HD if the price becomes right.

No, but I'm also a heathen and update it on the weekend. Spreadsheet day is constantly a different day of the month. Sometimes, if I'm busy, I'll even put it off until later in the month or skip it.

BLLLLLLLLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLB…BWA HA HA
Autozone, BWA, DHI, DRI, GPC, HRB, …….etc have all done well through historically weak “risk off” periods. You may be right in saying many discretionary stocks are to be shorted here, but you need to understand how institutional fund managers manage money, many of them only manage one sector, so for every sector there are managers that will look for stocks within their sector that are more recession resistant or growth oriented than others and will buy them and sell or short the others. If you can identify the stocks within each sector that qualify as those these managers will chose in a bad stock environment, you’ll do well. I’ve managed money for over two decades at large institutions, understanding money flow is probably the most important factor of investing, and this concept is the largest.
BWA is gonna pop off on earnings
Someone on here said to expect something big from BWA a few weeks ago and it has not yet materialized. It will probably happen the day after my calls expire
Bwa ha ha ha
Article says BWA is 47% undervalued. Bought some OTM calls and see if it rips in the next month. I should probably grab some Puts as well because that's just how shit goes when these articles are being published.
Not saying I know anything...
But BWA is going to run soon :)
Bwa ha ha ha ha ua ha ha ha ha aha.... ah- uh -uh - huuu... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa
Risk to reward too high. It's already close to ATH. More downside chance than upside. Cost is too high to enter call positions for a retracement situation and little upward move. Delta doesn't favor this move. Have to load up hard to pick up delta and cost is too high. Just by looking at the chart and not diving in to financial analysis, very risky play for minimal return Potential. Tons of other plays out there that are cheaper and further out to allow room for growth with less theta burn. The only play here if you really want to get in on this, is with actual shares. Set a stop loss anywhere in the high $80's and just wait it out. I'd recommend PEP, BWA, SNDR or CSX over this.
TEN , CMI , BWA , LEA , FOXF , DAN , MTOR , SMP , AXL , VC , SUP , MGA
Off the screener. All US listed. I'm not recommending or un recommending them just giving what you asked for. You can look them up here https://wallmine.com/nyse/dan If you go halfway down the page they have a list of other similar companies.
We did whole car assembly, batteries, motors, chargers; next must be trannies

>$BWA - *BorgWarner to Supply Electric Motors for New Electric Truck
^*Walter ^Bloomberg ^@DeItaone ^at ^2021-10-26 ^10:00:54 ^EDT-0400
I saw on cnbc that some analyst group reduced forecasts for auto production today. not a great sign for auto sellers or their suppliers, like ticker BWA / MGA.
BWA supplier in EV space
Lots of things in the ARK funds are interesting but far too expensive for me to buy at the moment... If they fall in a loss of confidence, things like SNOW etc. could be interesting high growth plays for the next 10Y. Right now, though, I'm pretty bullish 10 years out on BJ, BWA, INTC, and HEAR.
BWA finally gaining today. I guess auto parts are back on the menu.
This has been an interesting season. BWA is down -5% today in spite of earnings beat because revenue in Q3/Q4 won't match Q1 (lower vehicle prod & supply constraints).
I bought Jan 21st '21 $50c anyway.
BWA and MGA aren't a direct chip play but they are essential to car manufacturers and appear to be on sale due to the slow down.
Everyone talks about solar and electric cars but many individual end product manufacturers are higher risk. It is better to focus on the base tech behind the products. For solar that is inverter tech, SEDG and ENPH.
For cars that could be batteries but other component manufacturers might be a better value right now, MGA CRNC BWA.
There are other areas beyond these that don't get as much attention.
GNRC generator company pivoting to energy storage and solar PACK eco friendly packaging CVA waste to energy EVA wood scrap to energy GPP ethanol from biomass ERII desalination XYL water treatment and conservation BMI water metering and smart distribution ORA geothermal
Another option is yieldcos and utilities focusing on alternative energy infrastructure.
AY includes desalination and alt energy infrastructure CWEN, NEP, BEP, HASI, AGR
Not all industry can cut carbon enough so carbon credits are also part of this. The ETF KRBN offers direct exposure to the global credit market.
Bullish on the manufacturers behind EV - so not necessarily the car companies but those who make the equipment needed (which also tends to be useful for other industries too). I’ve had decent returns already on $BWA after a short time, and when I have time I’m going to do my DD and branch out to some other companies.
BWA sells auto parts to both
Anyone have any thoughts on BWA?
BWA weekly candle chart. Each candle represents 1 week. 50 period simple moving average, 200 period simple moving average. You’re either looking at a different candle chart representing different periods or using “smoothed” moving average, which still crossed over but a little earlier
Quick BWA DD

Bwa!aaaaaahahahaha!
Two comment, bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!
>Am I better off trying to scrape some cash and finance the rest on a beater that could last 6 months or 6 years, or
Well first off... don't finance a beater with a heater. Also 4K is pretty steep for a BWAH that is perfectly sound. "6 months or 6 years" implies this is a blind purchase and you are gambling that it will keep working. If you simply have the thing inspected, and go over it with a fine toothed comb and some basic knowledge, you know if its going to last. Its a machine, if its sound and well maintained, it will probably last a good long time. What it looks like is beside the point.
> finance a $12k used car that should last a minimum of 3 years and possibility 10 years or more?
That one is still a used car... same thing as the 4k BWaH. A higher price doesnt buy a better car.
Why do you think a 12k car wouldnt last over 3yrs? Keep it maintained, and it should last 20 for that price. All cars in all price ranges require replacement wear parts. If you don't do that, none of them will last past 3 yrs.
>Pros of beater: might be able to recoup equity from current vehicle and eliminate any car payment. insurance cheaper too even if having to finance, low monthly payments.
Also if it does have a catastrophic failure you have far less t lose.
>cons: could break at literally any moment if it has 150k miles on it and is 15 years old
Not really. Its not the miles on the clock its how well it was maintained. 150K on a good make/model/yr is not bad... if it was properly maintain. A well maintained 150K will run a lot longer than say, a 50K newer car that never had the oil changed and the owner beat the crap out of thetransmission. 15yr old is beside the point...its condition that matters.
>$12k car Pros: looks nicer, more comfortable, probably safer (technology gets better each year) likely won't be prone to anywhere near as many issues as a beater until many years later
Not really. newer doesn't mean safer, "safe" depends on the make/model. Breakdown issues depend on how well it was maintained. That newer car that somebody over heated a few times and towed or overloaded it, or failed to change the oil and in the case of an engine like a VVT, if they used the wrong oil, ect ect.... all things that can make a 50K engine a doorstop in a few yrs after you get it... or a few months.
>cons: insurance more expensive higher car payments
yup.
You best bet is to find a cheapest vehicle in the best condition and get it inspected by an uninvolved 3rd party or do it yourself.
A cheap ugly scabby bucket on wheels might be the far better deal, if it was somebody's work truck/car and they maintained it well so they could reliably get to work.
Romeo Power 25% short unbelievable for a company with such a large backlog, lots of cash, no burn and incredible growth & upside Busses, Garbage trucks, big rigs partners with Paccar, BWA,LION electric, Republic services, Heritage Env, RIDE, XL, to many to mention what the Heck shorties are playing them

BWA as well
Ohh the famous “go! bwa” on YouTube
My dividend stocks T and O are doing well. I also recommend OSK for a stock that doesn’t swing hard. I’m starting to really like BWA as well. Hang in there!
I am going boring: BWA (they make parts including those for electric vehicles) and Paya.
Fuck it .. I feel bad 4 ya. get in stat BWA.
BWA is treating me nice. No wild price swings, generally goes up. Shoulda bought more before earnings this AM, which they beat.
SPY I heard you wouldn’t go to 400 EOD. No balls. No balls. Bwuk bwuk bwuk bwaKAWWW
50c BWA 7/16 and I'm wondering if 54 days to go is long enough to hold through earnings on May 5. I'm up 150% and IV is still pretty low in 30-35 range
> BAC, WFC, GE
In addition to the 7 companies mentioned S&P 500 contains 493 more companies.
For example, Consumer discretionary sector (BKNG, APTV, BWA, CCL, DHI, EBAY, AMZN and about 60 companies more) in past 20 years grew 739%.
Healthcare (ABT, ABBV, MRK and about 50 more) grew 517%.
Industrials (GE, AAL, BA, RTX, HON, etc) grew 501.6%.
Healthcare and Industrials managed to grow 500% without Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook. Actually technology companies in past 22 years grew less than industrials - 427.04% vs 501.6%.
Anyone do any DD on Borgwarner (BWA)? Seems like it could be a good play. Calls slightly OTM maybe?
They all look tasty. Thanks for sharing
Bwa dropped to $43.50 on March 24 th. I missed it.
PLTR, NNDM, SKLZ, RADA, BFLY, BWA, JAGX. Pick your poison.
No man not selling CC off ABR. Use ABR for dividends. I use NNDM, PLTR, BFLY, SKLZ, RADA,JAGX & BWA for CC'S. Thatsy cash cow.
The rmo play is really pcar and bwa

I love being a bear and being right, because it means I beat 95% of you, bwa hah hah
Way late...would have been a good idea prior to September and still a solid idea through the fall. I was actually rotating some of my portfolio back to growth the last couple weeks. Your young just focus on growth and realize your going to have a 40% haircut along the way. The goal of a growth investor isnt to avoid a bear market it is to run the score up as high as possible before the bear market hits.
I think there are some opportunities out there for some industrials with a tech bent. BWA, HEI, LMT, GM
Bwa refuses to participate in this rally
The intrinsic value of FB using 2020 Free Cash Flow numbers, and a 10% discount rate comes to about $219/share. And at the current stock price of $258/share, we can expect to get a return of 3.1% if we were to hold this stock through 2045. Facebook clearly has a moat / competitive advantage as its ROE numbers have been greater than 15%, while the company has little to no debt. Here's a youtube video where this guy does a good job at performing a value/fundamental analysis on FB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp2bwaYWXPQ.
$BWA bullish for month look for them to break $52 by EOW
BWA and MGA have been nice and steady.
$BWA making moves
Keep an eye on BWA
