It's part of a broader strategy of preventing and denying arab democracy and self determination. The key to the region is Egypt, actually, as the most populous and industrialised of the arab nations, and the geographical lynchpin, connecting asia and africa, the red sea and the mediteranian (therefore atlantic and indian oceans).

Democracy was succesfully established there in 2012, with the Freedom and Justice Party coming to power through elections at the parliamentary and presidential level, and passing a new constittion via referendum.

Then Hilary Clinton left as secretary of state, and was replaced by John Kerry. He changed tack, backed the military to perform a coup, beginning with a massacre in Rabaa Square that was as big as Tianamen. Obama shrugged.

Meanwhile progressive and conservative white people all around the world were unanimously "confused' by how "complex" it all was. Because something something Islamists something something (things are much worse for women, gay people, christians and so on in Sisi's Egypt than they would have been under Morsi).

Next month, as tens of thousands languish in poltical prisons where they are routinely tortured and raped, where medical care is routinely denied, where people are taken in armoured vans provided by the US while protests are dispersed with tear gas and live rounds made in america, Egypt will play host to Cop 27! - because John Kerry, their boy in DC, is the US climate envoy.

So while Egypt is blatantly violating previous international treaties and being rewarded for it with a steady flow of lethal aid and prestigious international conferences, all our serious professional politicians and diplomats will get together and write a new treaty for everyone to ignore.

Saudi Arabia as we know it is a product of imperliasm, and an extension of this regional system which is designed to maintain US imperial control.

Well George Floyd didn't shoot a guy in the street with an AR-15, so maybe that's the difference there lol. Craziest argument I've ever heard. I do think Rittenhouse was defending himself, but he shouldn't have been there in the first place. That's completely different then a dude being killed by a cop in the street for a false accusation of counterfeiting.

I mean when you post for weeks about politically charged subjects you tend to get flagged as a bot. I've seen that go both ways as well. There's an algorithm and it doesn't always get it right admittedly.

I don't want to be a buzz kill but I'm not sure this is it. Sure, there's not this one thing that is absolutely bad, but overall it just doesn't seem appealing as a proposition.

I don't know what it is I'm actually getting. Functional beverages that have health-related ingredients in them to increase wellness? That sounds wishy-washy but given that you have different products in every box, it's understandable that you can't make more substantial claims (such as increasing focus or helping the gut flora). The "workaround" with a long list of things that may or may not be in the drinks is an overly transparent cop-out though, I don't think anyone's getting fooled by that (and then again, those aren't benefits you can grasp).

Somewhere further below you had a wording that she'd some light on it: "whether you want to cut out booze or soda."

Do the drinks even need to be overly functional? While I have no doubts that they have some good stuff in them, it seems that the whole notion of replacing alcohol or sugary drinks drives the "healthy lifestyle" angle but you keep on trying to ascribe more meaning to the drinks.

Then again, at $20 for five cans... I mean, sure, this stuff isn't cheap but five drinks isn't even all that much. If it was 12 for $30, I'd consider it a relevant offer.

Overall, the copywriting is clunky... It doesn't really get to the point, is non-committal, and oftentimes too wordy, while key info is missing where I'd expect it. (Why do I have to count the cans on the photo?) Given that these brands you work with are small, I'd also showcase them a bit and at least use some of them as an example to show people how much heart and soul goes into making these drinks. If presented as a promotional opportunity on the .com and socials, you'd also potentially get more favorable prices from the suppliers than banking on currently non-existing orders.

Visual direction is amateurish except maybe for the latest Instagram post. I don't mean the readability issues, and while the brand name and logo is extremely generic and overused, that's not a deal breaker either, but overall the site doesn't convey any sort of vibe. I don't feel any emotional connection whatsoever.

There's also plenty of little mistakes due to carelessness, which aren't really a big deal per se, but come on, not changing the social URLs on Wix just doesn't make me think I'm even interacting with a real company. I'd probably think this is just someone who threw this together in a weekend to validate the idea while there's nothing behind it yet.

Not sure it's worth it to get everything to a state where you can expect significant revenue. In particular, obviously you will need to run ads, no way it's possible without them, and then many subscriptions willingly only break even on customer acquision costs after two or three months. Given your restraint on even running ads, I don't think you're gonna handle it well to see your numbers after a month or so of pushing things.

Or you could use this as an opportunity or playground to hone your skills. Like, if you're interested in marketing, design, copywriting, or social media - why not keep improving, getting feedback, looking at how others do it, etc. etc. Potentially a better way to learn than "traditionally", and more fun and rewarding at that.

u/thisboringlife u/purplish_possum u/januaryphilosopher every year around my birthday I go a nice hotel with cocaine and have kinky sex. I’m not depressed but the nigger is. I’m perfectly fine. We treat him like a cop saying “put your hands up” then we shoot. We harass and then shoot. I have audios spanning back ten years where I cheat near the time of my birthday. Does that make the situation worst? Nah the nigger is a sick psychopath who needs to taste my lead. Lost in translation and blade runner is better than monkey spike lee. 🥰👴🏾😁🤩😝😄🎗️🎗️🎗️ I’m not sick in the head. I feed on the weak. 🤽‍♀️ good bye nigger you did tonight after we come to your job to break a random car window then send a French Canadian to stalk u

u/prollydietryin u live on the internet and don’t know me, remember that .u/januaryphilosopher u/purplish_possum My name is Staci and I use kratom for my depression—my physician is retarded because everyone knows stimulants don’t help l depression, they mask it. So instead I tell the person I’m stalking he’s depressed when he’s not interacting with me. Also people can have sex and not be mentally ill. You can’t have morals and enjoy time alone—you’re mentally ill and need cocaine, I mean kratom. Stimulants help me make dumb decisions like ruin my family. Or tell my fwb to harass someone. I recently sucked one of many senior citizen fwb dick but had to lie to ex hubby and kids. I carry a gun and so does my senior citizen fwb. I’m the person causing the conflict but I’m also going to shoot a nigger down. We are giving off big white cop energy but who cares. Although I should be aware a nigger staying in a blood neighborhood probably carrying. And my white ass should just move on. The nigger has attachment style748576 because he doesn’t want me. He also has narcissist tendencies along with every mental illness possible. We stalk him because we still haven’t used therapy correctly to get over the underlying trauma but this is my goodbye letter to the nigger before I stalk and shoot him. Also nothing wrong with enjoying sex or taking stimulants and masturbating all day. People can fly u out for sex and it’s totally healthy to lie to family. I’m a good person, that nigger is mentally sick and I hope my bullet heals him. I go to bars to suck dick and I also eat pussy. I hope after I kill him he leaves me alone because I have good aim, a steady hand and the law on my side.(y’all sound like Steven seagal 🤣) plus fwbs are healthy, marriage is a scam. Fuck many and commit to none. The nigger I shoot is depressed🤣🥵👴🏾🤡☺️👍🤷🏽‍♂️😷🖕🏾😃😆😀😂😛😛😇🥹🥹

About to sign the contract on a new house. When we bought our current house 5 years ago, we knew the schools weren't the best but we told ourselves that it was mostly due to the large ESL population, which we consider a plus, and that as long as we're involved parents our kids will be fine. Well, the middle school we're zoned for, which is two blocks away, had two stabbings and a student-teacher brawl this year. And just last night it seems like half the cop cars in town were in the parking lot so I'm sure I'll be hearing about that soon. So it's now a safety issue, not just a test scores issue. Our oldest kid is only 4 so we have time before middle school is a thought but we decided to just keep an eye out for houses. We've been casually looking since Feb for the "perfect" house and finally found it.

We had said since the start that we're not picky about finishes as long as it's in good condition, and that's definitely where we've had to compromise. It's a 60's split level and very much looks the part. There's a pink tile bathroom and a kitchen with laminate counters and floor and dark wood cabinets. It's also as non-open plan as you can get, which suits us fine. But it has all the space we need both inside and out, and it's in one of the top 5 school districts in the state. All the people moving here from the city are looking for renovated houses so this one sat on the market since May. We definitely got a discount on it because we don't care about how modern it looks - we paid 80% of the original asking price. When it went on the market, houses were typically going for 15-20% over asking. I know rates are high but we can always refinance (haha, hopefully...) so I'd prefer a lower purchase price.

Since we weren't originally planning on buying so soon, we didn't have enough cash on hand for 20% down. Ended up getting an 80-10-10 from TD - 80% first mortgage at 5.625%, 10% HELOC at 7%, and 10% down. No PMI. I'm a lawyer and found it by looking into JD mortgages but not once has the bank asked for any proof that I'm a lawyer so I suspect it could be available to anyone who knows to ask for it. Our plan is to pay off the HELOC once we sell our current house and then maybe use it to fund some improvements down the line. We can draw on it for 10 years and then pay off for another 20. We also had the option of doing an HELOAN for 5.4%, which would have been a 30 year payoff period but no option to draw on it again.

I'm having a little bit of...not buyers' remorse, but buyer's panic maybe? About spending so much. But it's ultimately cheaper than private school and got us enough space for my foreign in-laws to visit so that mental peace is worth a lot as well. But I think I came here to rationalize it haha. And to thank you guys - I doubt anyone remembers since I don't post much, but I had asked about whether we should move a few months back and pretty much everyone here said yes. And you were right; I feel good about it now that we've done it. So thank you all for your help. And hopefully maybe that mortgage info can be helpful for someone else here.

He's always been a try-hard C-lister trying to project this image of a big-boy investor and entrepreneur. He did found one company that was successful, but that was 20 years ago, and since then he's been presenting himself like he's Marc Andreesen or John Doerr in his public persona like a kid playing cop.

He's pathetic and Elon's response makes that pretty clear.

Insurance does their own investigation.

Police reports are just the cops opinion in most cases. Unless someone makes a statement the cop quotes, police reports aren't all that helpful.

This is a civil case, your insurance will investigate and handle, and if they feel they can they will go after the other party.

That makes no sense...and you can play the "subjective" card in any situation in the absence of anything substantial. You can say Hitler being a bad person is "subjective" if you're desperate enough. We're not talking 20-25 P/E here... We're talking about 100 P/E, almost 7 times more expensive than the market has consistently shown to be an ideal balance. Again that means it would take 100 years of revenue to justify that valuation and Tesla isn't going to Septuple their revenue. They have tons of competition of the verge of catching up and cancelled their giga factory.

The market has had fairly consistent metrics for valuation for over a century and they have been shown to be effective and reliable gauges during all that time. They are not arbitrary numbers. Buffet, Lynch and Munger all weigh valuation very high highly. There's piles of data showing that reasonably priced requity outperforms poorly valued ones. The "market" has over inflated a great many stocks and overwhelmingly people lost money on them unless they got in at lower valuations. They're called bubbles, and it's not in your best interest to view them in a positive light. Ever heard of the dot com bubble? The "market" "disagreed" then, too, before reality and fundamentals returned to the mean, which they always does.

You don't need market majority to inflate a stock. If 1/10 of investors holds the same stock that's enough to push that stock into the stratosphere. Most investors don't own TESLA outside of ETF exposure, so it's hardly a "the market has spoken" situation in the sense that the majority of the market participants think it's a wise investment. In any case, you're standing behind investors pushing the price up like it's a good thing or supports your point. It does not. Supply and demand is the base factor in a stocks price action and demand so grossly outweighing supply puts the buyers at a huge disadvantage in the same way that excess supply forces prices down therefore favoring the buyer. It's absurd to look at excessive demand as comforting, reassuring or something to be desired in any supply/demand environment. Buy Tesla if you want to buy Tesla, but please stop with the nonsensical cop out answers with zero substance to them just because you're committed to convincing yourself that the stock is worth what you paid.

Yes, China is much worse. Yes Russia is worse. Hell... even my country is worse in some areas. This in no way excuses American abuses. All the nutty wars you guys start? No universal healthcare? You guys are the only "civilized" country lacking that. A gun in every pocket? That's nuts. The whole abortion thing? Name a civilized country that still capital punishment? This whole thing is a scam besides the program itself if you wanted you can do your own research and just start a amazon selling business for less then 300 dollars and within a month or 2 be averaging atleast 2k-10k(as long as you put in the work) without breaking the bank or even wasting savings not everyone has 5k or more to drop on a fake course and on top of that the software is 299-399 a month and has interest on it like what amazon all you need is a llc 100-200 a reseller account which should be free for your state and the 40 a month amazon seller account and you dont even need the llc or reseller unless you want to cop products in bulk so all youd really need is the 40 a month amazon seller account why would i waste my time on 5k+ business when i can start my own for way less and do less work and have amazon sell my products smh

Housing in rural areas where there are next to no jobs is just as expensive as it is in the city.

All rents are rising across the board and your solution is.... to move. Where batman?

This is like Ben Shapiro suggesting to sell waterfront property off in twenty years when it gets successful into the sea.

The same type of backwards moronic thinking that doesn't actually solve anything and is a cop out answer.

This situation requires a quick post nut clarity evaluation. Is she being realistic and pragmatic, or giving you asinine situations? Is she being negative due the financial outcome of possible failure? Is she playing good cop bad cop to keep your idea strong? Does she genuinely want her partner to fail, or is she challenging you to become a better entrepreneur.

Only you know your relationship but look at all perspectives. It’s natural to be realistic but if she’s being downright negative, it’s either due to your plan or just personal grievances manifesting through convo. Her answers and questions may have nothing to do with business, but a genuine, honest intrinsic inclination to “know” what you’re thinking.

Is she your partner through blind support or your partner through calculated judgments.

Good luck!

Honestly if I read a review that said the owner gave the reviewer “a dirty look” I would assume they were overthinking a sideways glance and being reactive. If there weren’t other similar reviews it would seem to me like they were just ranting and I’d disregard it. If you respond and willingly cop to it, the. I might think differently.

In other words, with the review by itself I would think it didn’t happen. With a response confirming it happened I would suddenly have some weird vibes about the place and maybe not go. They definitely shouldn’t have done that, even if it’s understandable, but the best thing at this point is just to let it lie. It’s not a thing so don’t make it a thing.

It wasn't like that for me and my missus, a rich foreigner who I met at university. I had a few questions asked during registration, not many - and jack shit asked during the residency applications - all they cared about was the proof we were making enough to support ourselves.

They (the UK) fucking know everything about you and your other half before you even fill out the residency applications. We got married in the UK, during the marriage registration the Home Office lot and some armed cops came in - walked passed us - one armed cop/home office bod fucking winked and said "don't worry, we're not here for you DueProcedure" and carried on to haul some Eastern Europeans out who got violent.

They only bother asking really deep probing questions if they already don't like you, after having done their homework.

Credit Karma is a credit score checking app. It's pretty limited in what it can do and it's definitely not a budgeting app like YNAB or Mint is.

While you could pay someone to assist you with assembling this. I honestly think it's going to be therapeutic and motivating for you to do it yourself once you realize what I am guessing is living beyond your means that the household is doing.

If this is really bothering you, use that as motivation to make a behavior change. It's kind of like weight loss, you can't just wish or hire the weight away, you have to make behavior decisions to eat differently and burn more calories and those things are hard.

Any service you would hire would still need to know what you have and what you are dealing with so might as well get started on your own here.

I'm afraid that paying someone here just won't have the same effect as putting in the hard work yourself, and will make it a lot harder to change behaviors. These people you hire are not your parents. They are not going to tell no and be the bad cop.

Once you have your situation in control, that's the time to hire someone if needed to say manage investments, do taxes etc.

I'm guessing that's probably code for our officers got accused and/or caught participating in sex acts so we don't want to risk that anymore. My understanding is there's been "reform" but within the last 10 years there were states that had laws where an officer could have sex with a prostitute and still arrest her. In other cases officers were able to get away with receiving sexual favors by claiming they had to go through with it for fear of their life and other bullshit. Years ago I read about a woman who gave a cop a bj to get out of a ticket. Turns out that MF frequently gave some women that option. He never caught a single charge but many departments have cracked down on that sort of predatory behavior.

On the hygiene note there's been some stings in my area and the only hygiene complaints were allegations of them not changing the sheets and pillowcases between customers. But who knows, maybe in larger cities with lots of these places there's old condoms on the floor or you're forced to lay in the semen of other men.

>Some people want a massage not some trafficked chick tryin to grab their dick

I think it's pretty clear which are going to be jack shacks vs actual massage parlors. I think most US states regulate massages with licenses and the license is always supposed to be displayed. If you find yourself in a place where someone is going to offer you a "baby massage" you probably meant to be there.

The tibit about an injured victim going to the cops and the cop just handed the guy right back to Dahmer pisses me off. Not sure if that's in there, sorry if spoiler

2002 Ford Crown Victoria sedan (pure senior citizen spec, no fake cop here). It's not very fuel efficient compared to modern cars (I usually calculate 21 MPG flat every time I gas up) but it only has ~89k miles, is in wonderful condition and whatever costs for the fuel are offset by maintenance I do myself (or it being pretty cheap to have work done on it), insurance and parts being cheap and the fact that I so very rarely drive it. I drive it every other weekend at most, since I commute with my electric scooter and never really need to drive.

I know a friend whose dad is a now retired cop in the us. He cleared easily over 200k a year. It was absurd

Nah if he handed a fake id to a cop, no matter how good, he’s still fucked. Fakes are GOOD these days, but not good enough to fool a cop running it thru his system. Wrong pic will pull up even if the license number/barcode/mag strip on the fake was real

Question: where are you from? Second question: are you a cop? 🧐 Third question: are you affiliated with any law enforcement agency? 🧐🧐

Yeah. I don’t get it. If this were a new SciFi franchise and not attached to SW it’d get canceled. Fairly boring. The cop story line is the best part but it culminated in a bizarre shootout in a Legend of Zelda mini boss arena.

Ima have to tap out of this one.

They could, unless the buyer could bribe a cop and they would drag the seller off to jail. Thats one of the upsides, failing to pay rent is a crime not just a civil matter so the police can evict your non paying tenant the same day rent is due depending on how the contract is written.

Haha it looks the the bumper was 15ft off the ground. I bet the cop had a lot of regret when all he saw was the sky for a few seconds. Hilarious

Right to comment said hood and I mentioned they have around 6 B in cash, then the response was yes they have a lot of money and seem to be cutting on cost but they can go Bankrupt just like 2008.

Idk just feels like a cop out statement, I’ll grant you the last part those companies are almost worthless

Just because you have no 'experiential knowledge" doesn't mean I have to be that stupid. Good luck with your shaming and labeling "stick". Its an easy cop out. It allows you to be passive and not take the responsibility of taking on risk.

Shaming language needs

Is “paying off the house for peace of mind” only effective if your house hasn’t appreciated a lot? I would assume you have the equity you have gained on the house in order to offset any time without a job. You could probably cop a loan with a lower interest rate than the market is paying, which would cut into profits, but would allow you to lock in the money for longer.

>Smoking in Vegas is illegal on the streets

Well, if you light up where a cop is or is going to be, sure. I guess I'm used to being discreet.

The smoking section at the Nugget was my fav. There is a Starbucks there, lol..

>Did buying an apartment/condo in early 20s impact your path to FI?

Yes, negatively. (Currently 40)

>Looking for some if I could go back and do it again type of advice from people with more experience than me.

Don't, that's the advice I'd give myself.

Instead budget hats, eliminate debt, and max out tax advantaged retirement accounts in 2009-2013.

>Is it a good idea to buy a 1 bedroom/condo in early 20s instead of renting?

No.

Potential issues:

  • Number One with a bullet, your may need to move for a job. Especially in your early 20s, especially in a recession.
    • Long distance land lord sucks, in case that was the backup plan.
  • Mortgage is an anchor some your neck when you want to be lose and flexible, like during a recession.
  • You may list your job (especially during a recession), renting is easy easier to down size.
  • Renting is actually cheaper than owning for the first several years when you look at total cost, not to mention property values going down in a recession.
  • Pure hassle. renting call the owner; owning break or the cash. I'm actually fighting with my insurance and bank right now.
  • etc... Could probably add another dozen items, but you get the idea.

>Has it paid off big time for any of you?

Massive loss of potential gains in the market. I've done the math, I didn't list money but did lose potential gains by reducing my cash flow for a decade.

>have a good wage where I’m maxing out my 401k and Roth while enjoying a bunch and having a great social life.

Good, keep that going.

Don't buy in NYC, that's a shrinking city.

>My family is from a little town a ways away from the city and always nags me that I’m throwing money away by renting and living here and that I should move home and buy something (I work remotely).

I think the point here is why are you paying NYC rent when you could live anywhere, like Florida or New Hampshire or any state without state income tax.

>considering moving back with parents to save for a down payment for a year or two on a 1 bedroom/studio condo or cop-op.

So one step back to take two steps in the wrong direction?

  • If you're loving the city life, enjoy it.
  • if you want to reduce cost, get away from NYC.
  • If you are ready to put down roots (usually takes 5 years), and it's worth it to own (which isn't NYC), then maybe start saving.

But why would you want to pass up buying this dip?

>I know I’ll be pretty miserable there because I’ll have no social life but seems like it may be worth it financially.

Having no life to save up for an unwise financial move is not "worth it".

Dude, buy low fee broad market index funds and enjoy the dip for the next few years.
