This is going to seem like a cop out but you should ask Chat GPT. I copied and pasted your same question and this was the response:

Sure, I'd be happy to help you come up with some names for your pool cleaning service! Here are a few suggestions:

Splash Squad

Aqua Care Pool Service

Crystal Clean Pools

Oasis Pool Cleaning

Blue Wave Pool Services

Sunburst Pool Cleaning

Sunny Day Pool Care

North Star Pool Services

Eastside Pool Pros

Orlando Pool Patrol

I hope these suggestions give you some ideas for your business name. Good luck with your pool cleaning service!

------------------------

You can ask it for more. You can say things like "Can you include [word you like] in the name?" You can also say "Can I have more like 'Splash Squad?"

Legal aid in town has already made the offer. Two of their managers go to my church and when we met the first one said “come whenever you’re ready” and the other a year later said “do you think you’re ready to join us yet?” They pay a little more than I’m netting now, salary and benefits, knowing each month how much you will make, and being able to leave at 5 pm and turn your work phone off. I’ve almost never had that, and when I did it was never enough and it was also a pretty toxic environment that frankly also made my health worse.

I’m actually thinking, spitball style, that my first move is to get my state license squared away so I don’t have to keep doing federal work exclusively. I’ll task the staff to gather the documents two weeks before I’m back and ready, work on the unpleasant questionnaires including writing a letter to my favorite judge soliciting a reference form, since everyone else sees me as the guy who represents hopeless people with practically no evidence and loses a lot more than he should, but she gets it, she sees why I do this and helps me in strange ways. One time she “took the fall” playing bad cop to a delusional client who had a bad life but no medical evidence of disability… we bonded over wearing the same basic fitness watch and she dismissed the case in a way that really just got me out of it. She os someone I’d like to consider a friend apart from the professional boundary and I’m actually looking forward to requesting her review.

I may also impulsive kayak the Grand Canyon along the way if I can find a crew for Indian summer. Or maybe just rent a sailboat for a week out west and focus on that skill.

Today… it is again too late. I need to now try again for sleep. But I appreciate your input. This conversation has been good for me and you should feel good that part of your time on social media did make someone’s bad day a little better. Thank you.

You can't expect anything and I wouldn't rely on any anecdotes - particularly if you're not deeply aware of the current state of the business.

The only thing you have to rely on is your previous interactions with the step-son - and even then I'd argue it may be irrelevant.

E.g. It happens all the time where the second-in-command takes over the top job. The team expects them to be overly strict because they were prior, but guess what? Turns out the previous CEO was forcing them to play "bad cop" so they didn't have to.

military; be the starving artist and get around. I know i might get downvoted but in 3 years i went from 45K to 112K through my IT experience. I was a cop before i transitioned. i love it, i miss it, but tbh i want to establish my long term wealth early on. so why waste 30 yrs being a cop scraping by, when i could do this cool IT work.

My plan is to try to be financially set in 10 years (when im 40 yrs old) and then, when im ready and want to ill go play cop nice and relaxed. Point is, you can always pursue your hobby/dream on the side, and when you are ready you transition. but unfortunately, in this society you need money in order to achieve your dreams

The idea isn’t bad. The police would inevitably abuse the power though. What would start with disabling a vehicle in a car chase would end up being disabling a vehicle because the driver is from Wisconsin and the cop got beat up once in Wisconsin, and all of a sudden you’re in a Kafka inspired remake of minority report.

A guy drives 75 mph in a 55 mph zone and gets stopped by a cop. The officer is about to give him a ticket but he says "sir, analysts were expecting me to drive at 80 mph so I am below analyst expectations". The cop tears down the ticket and sends him away with a warning. 🤌

So the law is the only thing that matters, interpretation/enforcement goes out the window? Anytime someone jaywalks better throw the book at them, or if a cop uses excessive force it’s irrelevant because only the law matters?

In this case it’s not even a strict law that was broken, it was a ruling on an acquisition and Microsoft plans to appeal because they think the ruling is unfair. As do I. So UK law is not the not the only relevant detail. There is reasoning and negotiation and proportionality.

When I got pulled over for “seatbelt ticket” I asked the cop after 2 years driving (in a small town and you seeing me) why am I getting pulled over now? He said well unfortunately the majority has to suffer for the minority. People aren’t paying their hospital bills so that’s why! To date i didn’t pay the ticket and my license is suspended….fuck the system.

Credit card call center employee opinions on these disputes are not legally binding. You can file a police report and also in small claims court. Small claims court involves more than just a phone call, so it may or may not be worth your time depending on the value they got refunded. I don't believe there is a way to dispute with the bank directly, or at least I have not heard of one. Banks have no incentive to behave ethically toward the merchants anyway; they are incentivized to maintain their cardholder relationship, not a relationship with you, which is why they'll often ignore mounds of evidence in favor of their cardholders subjective, verbal statement.

We always include enough personal information on our dispute forms, including screenshots of security footage of their cardholders, that we conclude it with "we will file criminal charges against your cardholder if you choose to ignore our objective evidence and unethically side with them. It is your ethical and fiduciary responsibility to inform them that the bank's opinion to side with them is not legally binding and our intention to pursue this further with legal consequences". It works 50/50, and we file the police reports immediately upon getting the notice they side against us. One time it qualified as a probation violation and he was sent back to prison for the remainder of his original term. All for a $10 takeout order. Other times the police report doesn't go anywhere - it just depends on what cop it gets assigned to as to how excited they are to pursue it. But, we always file a police report.

I'm prepared to be downvoted, but he was high. Those struggling with addiction will always have negative interactions with law enforcement. Until we get rid of addition or LEOs (and I'll let you argue the order in which we do that) addicts will always die by cop.

But since we live in a modern era, he didn't die in vain. He was able to start a movement like we haven't seen before. If this had been the 90s, he would have virtually been forgotten about by the mainstream like Rodney king.

George Floyd suffered a horrifying and unnecessary death at the hands of a piece of shit power tripping cop.

Yet to tell blacks that the worst thing in their life is racism in 2023 is a red herring that ultimately kills them more than the truth. It’s not not a problem. But on this list of problems for the average person who identifies as black, it doesn’t even make top 10. The truth is hundreds of thousands of blacks and millions of every other race in this country are dying and suffering from a persistent lack of healthcare. Way more blacks are dying from old fashioned poverty and sickness than from ongoing racism. Every day folks like you ignore that, you are responsible for people of color disproportionately dying. And in this country since money = health in many ways, the lack of economic opportunity is killing us, and killing blacks more than almost anyone else since they’re disproportionately likely to be in poverty.

So if you want to actually save black lives, focus on what matters. Anything else is virtue signaling

At my agency the artists don't usually deal directly with the client because whenever they do, the project ends up like this. Endless revisions that become contradictory and end up wasting both the client and your time. There needs to be the good cop (you) and the bad cop (an account manager) that can bring up budgets and proposals and timelines without a conflict of interest

BLS statistics..

Some metro area median hourly wages:

NYC - $26.83

LA - $22.87

Chicago - $22.74

Houston - $21.46

Dallas - $21.86

DC - $29.63

Philly - $22.85

Atlanta - $22.02

Miami - $18.59

Phoenix - $21.91

Boston - $29.13

SF - $29.81

You can pretty immediately see a few absolutely terrible figures, mainly LA and Miami are terrible places to work on average. Adjusted for COL NYC is generally worse off than other large cities. The DC area is actually rather well compensated for COL. Same with Boston. SF is so goddamn expensive that even with one of the largest wage premiums it doesn't even come close to offsetting the cost of living in the area.

Moreover you need to look at incomes in your own personal field as it may cop a huge wage premium in one market and not another.

The terms “drivers license” and “state ID” are often used interchangeably for all things that aren’t related to driving.

Non-drivers can get an official state ID that is good for everything a drivers license is good for, except driving.

If someone asks you for your drivers license, and it’s not a cop that’s pulled you over, you can show a permit or other official state issued ID.

“Lives with his mom” : pays zero rent and doesn’t have to scrounge up money for shelter each month.

“He is a cuck” : doing what makes his dick happy and women love it judging from the convos he’s posted with women before

“Short midget” : he is 5’9 and that’s average height in America. You guys act like he is 5’5 but ok

“Mall cop” : gets paid to sleep and Shitpost on Reddit all day. What a nice gig

Whether it benefits one group a bit more than the other isn’t an argument from helping the most people. Doing nothing is worse. Yes there needs to be reforms but also pauses and forgiveness. It’s not one or the other it’s all 3. Personally, I want an educated country even if it’s not a perfect education system. Liberal indoctrination is a cop out. Information improves society. Banning books does not.

All you can do is shop around or maybe try to increase your deductible to see how much it would lower your rate. I know it seems unfair to have rates go up on accidents that were not considered your fault, but the average person is involved in 3-4 crashes in their entire lifetime which comes to about 1 accident every 18 years, although younger and older drivers tend to be considered higher risks.

"Couple of wrecks" in the past year means you are extremely high risk. It means you're not driving defensively or you are putting yourself in risky situations. All of that spells bad driver to an insurance company. Nothing you can do.

The insurance market is a private market and they can charge whatever they want. You are free to be insured with someone else, if you don't like it, but don't expect another company to be much different once they see your driving record.

A word of caution, since I perceive by the question you are asking that you are probably young. If your car is financed, you must maintain coverage on the vehicle, otherwise, the lender will buy it themselves and tack it onto your monthly payment. I guarantee that you will REALLY not like the rate. Additionally, the state will be notified, and they may suspend your license and the next time a cop car pulls behind you at a red light, your plate will be scanned and you will be pulled over and possibly arrested. It's 2023 and technology is everywhere.

Study’s show that while more people will do drugs that are legal, the rate of addiction for those drugs actually go down and it’s more healthy usage. Then for those that do get addicted, it’s easier for them to break their addiction due to a combination of their addiction isn’t as stigmatized so they don’t feel socially isolated and there being more support for those addictions. Then of course no one is having their life ruined if they run into a cop with an illegal substance which just ends up making their life worse.

I was rear ended in a similar situation. I called insurance and only had to pay the deductible. When they called me to take my recorded statement, one question they asked was “were your stopped?” This is the only yes or no question that I responded to with more than a yes or no. I said something like “all traffic in front of me was stopped so, yes I was stopped.” I was at the end of the pack and the guy wasn’t paying attention to see traffic was stopped. He did admit that to the cop.

General rule of thumb, don’t provide more information than is asked. Unless you are being something that could be a trick question.

Had to part ways with my 5 year old pocket knife. Went to a museum and they had a metal detector, wanted to bury it or hide in the bushes and thankfully I didn't because there was a cop on an ATV. So I just dumped it into the trash. 🫡

My mom started using me for money when I was in middle school. In my case, I'm pretty sure it relates to her narcissism. She hoards attention from one person (used tissues and my grandma) and would try to take whatever capital we had for her benefit. She has major scarcity issuea.

First, she took me to the bank and instructed me to cash out my college savings bonds, which were a gift from a dear family friend after my dad died.

When I was in college, she insisted I pay for my brother's bail when he was arrested in SF for selling and undercover cop some marijuana. Oops. It took several years before my brother paid me back.

When we had a family business (horrible idea!), she would flip out whenever my husband and I made a reasonable larger personal purchase, like a used car. Or a laptop. Meanwhile, she got full paychecks every 2 weeks. We didn't.

We bought a house and had it refinanced. She insisted we use 20k for the business.

The list goes on. Complete opportunist.

People who do this are taking advantage of adult children. It can be abusive when a parent completely ignores their adult child's personal security for their own gain.

Unless you're a cop or fireman in california. Many of those guys retire with equivalent of a 3-5 million 401k. 100k/year (and in many cases MUCH more) and free medical for life. Its very difficult for the average public sector worker to get anywhere near that.

Future implementation seems like a major political cop out. If you don't want blowback from something, don't pass it. Passing it with a "this takes effect in the future and forces people to deal with it/nobody will be thinking about it in the next election cycle" seems terrible generally.

That thread about the architect firm is interesting. I'd expect almost everything they do to be tied to billable projects. The client might need to classify the work as r&d, but the firm is not developing a product, they're just providing the services. maybe I'm misunderstanding their role in it.

Not many people get pensions anymore. Out of all my family and friends. It's only my best friends husband who works for the railroad who gets a pension and my mom who was a teacher. My moms pension is 57k less a year than she made and she is having trouble learning how to budget but she makes too much to get social security. My dad was a cop for 22 years then worked it. And for some reason she can't collect my dads pension or social security. Many people have savings plus their 401k. But not everyone. My uncle retired at 63. He is 71. He has some disabilities and my mom couldn't take care of him and he had to go to assisted living. He gets some social security. He has been in assisted living for 6 years and is almost out of money. When that happens he has to go to a medicaid assisted living and some of the options are very confusing.

You said,

> She's earned her job.

> > Knowing even a tiny bit about how the job market works, I would definitely not make blanket statements like this without knowing any details.

Yeah, it's a blanket statement that someone earned something because what if her dad is a literal billionaire?

> that the core issue is the different ways in which we are using the word "earn"

That's a cop-out. Everyone has some good luck or bad luck. If someone walks 1,000 miles to get somewhere, I'd say they got there because they wanted to walk 1,000 miles and did it; they earned it. You'd say, "well, everyone has good luck and bad luck therefore they didn't earn it, they got lucky."

> I am saying that no one has fully earned their position

Right. It's a cop-out. You're now backpedaling all the way to, "literally nobody has ever earned anything fully". It's dumb.

I had a Ford Flex which is like a tank lol and would play music on my way to work very loud and honestly did not know I bumped someone. I had this guy motioning to me all crazy I thought he was mad that he thought I cut him off or something I pulled into a parking lot and he was practically foaming at the mouth he was so mad and said he called the police. I apologized and said I honestly did not realize it happened and tried to give him my insurance information but he wanted to wait and tell the police I tried to flee the scene, even though I pulled over at the very next exit at nearest public parking lot. My car had a little scratch he had some damage funny thing is we worked at the same place and as soon as he realized that he seemed to calm down. The cop also told him that due to size of my car and where it was it was possible that I may have missed it. I honestly felt bad.

Who says we aren't the wild beasts you speak of? Its all point of view. They are sovereign nations and the choice isn't as binary to them. You can blame their intellect because that is an easy cop out or you can ask why the choice isn't binary and hands down full dedication to the United States. Exploring the latter is uncomfortable but it leads you to a much more realistic answer as opposed to what you started with which is to prepare for war with China.

I'm telling you, the answer to this doesn't lie with the DOD, it lies within the State Department and consistent policy that is beneficial to all parties. Seriously, what would even be the end goal in a war with China? Defend Taiwan? What about India, South Korea, Japan? Are we taking Beijing? Could we even occupy that much land mass? What's the end game? You think Russia isn't going to jump in? Are we assuming Iran is going to sit tight? North Korea won't flatten Seoul? It isn't just a fight with China.

There is a simple solution called cash for keys. If you offer her money to move out peacefully, it’s a win win. Sign this pick up your stuff $200 bucks all good. Get a cop for civil peaceable transfer or the landlord.

If that doesn’t work, plan b evict. Anything about box stuff, change locks, lock her out sets up other party as a victim. Probably drama and some people really enjoy drama.

PXD, DVN, COP and a few other oil companies. Great cash flow and will be doing well over the next couple of years in my opinion. People don’t realize that we need crude for many other things including pharmaceuticals but yet the war against oil companies rages on.
