I believe that ransomeware protection is going to become a bigger deal for companies. Look at software companies that specialize in disaster recovery and ransomware. I am bullish on CVLT.

I know it’s a meme stock at the moment but look into BB as well. They recently bought Cylance and I believe that product will be the standard in antivirus protection in 3-5 years.

I read a lot of positive things about this stock and im kinda new but i have a quastion..

Somewhere i read Commvault (CVLT) is more of a competitor. Their revenue is 3x Avepoints and their marketcap is 3x Avepoints. So is it that much of a steal? Or am I looking at things the wrong way? It is a sincerely question.

Interesting play and definitely makes high-level logical sense, which is why I'm interested. Only question is: why CVLT specifically for rotation into small-cap? Are you basing this assumption of the technical trading indicators?

A lot of naysayers here but they don't believe in the HYPE. When they launch later this year they'll be making headlines and CHADS with money to blow will post their spaceflight all over IG and Twitter. They don't give a shit if its suborbital and neither does most of earth. They'll be close enough.

Buying calls on this cvlt stock because I'm a VIRGIN.

I would argue the opposite. You are more likely to succeed by purchasing individual companies in the Computer Security space than by buying any of these ETFs. It looks like to me that you are buying this ETF because it has performed well in the past instead of looking at the underlying and this would be a mistake. This is because most of the time, these ETFs are run by morons who know nothing about the industry. For this example, I will be looking into $HACK.

Did you know that $HACK is being sued by Nasdaq over fraud? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nasdaq-lawsuit-etfmanagersgroup/nasdaq-sues-operators-of-cyber-security-etf-alleging-theft-idUSKBN1CV3OI

Does this sound like less risk to you?

What about the holdings of $HACK.

Here are the top 2 holdings and they represent about 10% of the total holdings of HACK. $CVLT $CARB Both of these companies specialize in backing up data and while backing up data is important, I am not exactly sure that the "backing up data" industry is what really wanted.

What is absolutely insane is the number of people who encourage you to buy these ETFs because the price went up. At that point, you aren't even investing, you are gambling at that point.

Computer security and investing is an art form. There is this myth out there are individual stocks are too complicated and that you can't outsmart Wall Street or whatever and that you should just buy an ETF or whatever or listen some bullshit from some guru. Most of people who own buy $HACK and other ETFs don't know anything about computer security. You can have an edge over these people if you take the time to understand this industry. Here is something to point you in the right direction.

https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-857-network-and-computer-security-spring-2014/

Take the time to do your due diligence.

there is no cybersecurity for retail as cybersecurity firms protect the infrastructure every firm uses as well as the individuals using it, like firewalls, email , advanced threat protection , spear fishing and so on.

companies are CSCO,CHKP, SYMC, PANW, FTNT , 4704.TSE , PFPT , CUDA, IMPV, VDSI, MIME,FEYE, CVLT, CYBR and some smaller ones i don't follow like Rapid7.

You find those companies by reading the news / wikipedia / Stockscreeners and then check their 10-K at the competitors section . if you go through all companies competitor section you should come up with a comprehensive list of companies for any sector.

Or you use a bloomberg / capital IQ / online database to check sector listings, but i never found them to be sufficient.
