Apollo Global Management Inc, Blackstone Inc and KKR & Co Inc have expressed interest in a book of loans held by Silicon Valley Bank, a subsidiary of the defunct SVB Financial Services Group. @Reuters @business $SIVB $BX $KKR $APO https://t.co/0JFpvgRYSd

Years of drug bingeing will result in PE's being the ultimate winners, acquiring distressed assets at basement prices. $1T+ in dry powder incoming. After the 12+ year tech boom, across public and private markets, it's only fitting that a VC bank fails. $BX $APO $KKR https://t.co/E3i7s6NolO

A funding mismatch combined with extension of credit (and lines) to profitless (and to never will be profitable) venture capital companies is a toxic cocktail. Some of us @hedgeye @keithmccullough have been skeptical of a positive ending/outcome at $KKR $BX.

I have just inside of 100 employees, including my own Software Engineers, etc. If I didn't have profits, I wouldn't get a credit line. If I blew up my credit line, my firm would fail Those are the rules that most of us building companies have to play by Keep #America great https://t.co/1PuMVNpdza

$SIVB SVB is exposing the innards of how Silicon Valley banking/corp finance has been run & it's pretty shocking how elementary it all is. Hedging really is a lost art. OTOH, what I thought flew under the radar was how terribly PE firms performed: $KKR -12% $BX -13%, etc.

The alts were punished like crazy and probably where the opportunity lies but not exactly sure when is best to jump in. Let’s see what Fed says over the weekend or on Monday. $APO, $KKR, $BN are the most interesting alts imo. $APO with prob the best mgmt of them all.

I’m sure $BX $KKR $APO would be happy to lend good startups and early companies money as funding dries up. The vig won’t feel good but if u need it u pay it

$KKR You see, in Jag we go to places where nobody is looking. Then everyone starts talking about it and we simply bank profits. Trade idea from last week: https://t.co/qk0OyX65oY

$CG, $KKR, etc, etc. That’s where I’m pressing. But need to watch for a Fed announcement like in 08/09 when mkt jacked up 11% or so before imploding 30%+.

$BX $KKR $APO $ARES $BAM their stocks will go down with markets going down but they are all in the office planning their next opportunity. The market always over reacts and PE firms are always there with a checkbook and it’s gonna hurt if u need their $$ 😂 let games begin $SIVB

What happened to $SIVB could happen to $APO $BX $BLK $CG and $KKR. If enough investors want their money back the bank will be forced to fire sale assets and will become insolvent. Short Sellers can press these companies into bankruptcy.
