Accenture plc (NYSE: ACN) is a global professional services company that helps clients build their digital core, optimize operations, accelerate revenue growth and enhance services through strategy, consulting, technology and operations. Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and founded in 1989 as a spin-off from Arthur Andersen, the company operates in more than 120 countries with approximately 791,000 employees and serves over 9,000 clients across industries including communications, media and technology; financial services; health and public service; consumer goods, retail and travel; industrial; and chemicals, natural resources, energy and utilities. Its core offerings span five key segments: Strategy & Consulting for envisioning and executing change; Technology encompassing systems integration, application management, cloud migration and management, data and AI solutions, security services, platform engineering and software engineering; Operations including business process outsourcing for finance and accounting, procurement, supply chain and marketing via the SynOps platform; Industry X for digitizing manufacturing processes; and Song for customer experience, marketing and commerce solutions; it also provides specialized services in sustainability, mergers and acquisitions, zero-based budgeting, supply chain management and ecosystem partnerships. Accenture structures its go-to-market approach through three geographic markets—the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific—while delivering integrated multi-service solutions leveraging AI-enabled assets and platforms. In fiscal 2024, the company reported revenues of $64.1 billion, with managed services accounting for approximately 49% of revenues, underscoring its focus on high-growth areas like cloud, data analytics, AI and cybersecurity through ongoing investments and acquisitions. Recent strategic developments include a major reorganization announced in June 2025 and effective September 1, 2025, to reinvent for the AI era by consolidating Strategy, Consulting, Song, Technology and Operations into a single Reinvention Services unit led by Manish Sharma as Chief Services Officer, accompanied by leadership changes such as John Walsh becoming CEO of the Americas and Kate Hogan as global COO. The company completed the acquisition of Partners in Performance in August 2024, adding 400 professionals to bolster performance improvement in asset-intensive industries like metals, mining, oil and gas, utilities and chemicals using data and AI. In 2025, Accenture announced intent to acquire Orlade Group to expand capital projects capabilities in energy, utilities, rail, aerospace and defense; acquired Soben and IQT Group earlier that year; and in December 2025 expanded collaborations with Snowflake for AI and data-driven reinvention and with OpenAI to accelerate enterprise innovation. These moves build on prior acquisitions like BOSLAN in 2024 and a planned $3 billion investment in AI initiated in 2023, positioning Accenture as a leader in GenAI-powered transformation.
