The company operates primarily in the United States, with additional locations in Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Founded in 1923 and headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Applied Industrial Technologies serves food and beverage, automotive, steel, chemical, energy, and general manufacturing sectors through its service center-based distribution and engineered solutions segments. In recent developments, the company completed the acquisition of Hydradyne, LLC on December 31, 2024, enhancing its fluid power capabilities with advanced hydraulics, pneumatics, electromechanical, instrumentation, filtration, and fluid conveyance offerings across the Southeastern U.S., expected to add approximately $260 million in sales and $30 million in EBITDA within the first 12 months. Applied also signed a definitive agreement to acquire IRIS Factory Automation in fiscal 2025 third quarter, expanding its automation platform with turn-key vision and robotic solutions for material handling, palletizing, case packing, quality inspection, and packaging workflows, particularly strengthening its Midwest presence. Further bolt-on acquisitions of distributors in New Jersey and Ohio were announced in 2024, alongside securing a $900 million senior unsecured revolving credit facility in October 2025 to support ongoing growth initiatives.
