Business
Alamo Group Inc. specializes in the design, manufacturing, global distribution, and ongoing service of specialized equipment for vegetation management and essential infrastructure upkeep. The company caters to governmental, industrial, and agricultural clients worldwide, operating through two primary business divisions. Its Vegetation Management Division provides a comprehensive range of machinery, including various tractor-mounted and hydraulically-powered mowers like rotary, flail, disc, and zero-turn models, along with heavy-duty cutters for diverse applications. This segment also offers forestry and biomass recycling equipment, tree and branch chippers, and a wide array of agricultural implements such as front-end loaders, backhoes, cultivators, tillers, posthole diggers, and tillage tools. Furthermore, it supplies replacement parts and components for seeding and fertilization. The Industrial Equipment Division focuses on robust solutions for public works and maintenance. Its offerings include truck-mounted air vacuum, mechanical broom, and regenerative air street sweepers, as well as parking lot sweepers and leaf collection systems. This division also produces vacuum trucks, combination sewer cleaners, hydro excavators, pothole patching equipment, and specialized excavators. For winter maintenance, it provides a full line of snowplows, heavy-duty snow removal apparatus, and ice control products, in addition to roadway safety items. Established in 1969, Alamo Group is headquartered in Seguin, Texas, and extends its operations across North America, South America, Europe, and Australia, supported by over 40 global brands. The company employs approximately 3,750 individuals across its numerous facilities. As of the third quarter of 2025, the Industrial Equipment Division demonstrated strong growth with sales reaching $247.0 million, while the Vegetation Management Division reported sales of $173.1 million. Recent strategic moves include the acquisition of Ring-O-Matic, Inc., enhancing its industrial vacuum excavation capabilities. Robert P. Hureau assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer in September 2025.
