Business
AxoGen, Inc. (NASDAQ: AXGN) develops and commercializes surgical solutions for peripheral nerve regeneration and repair; its comprehensive product portfolio includes Avance Nerve Graft, a biologically active off-the-shelf processed human nerve allograft for bridging severed peripheral nerves; AxoGuard Nerve Connector, a porcine submucosa extracellular matrix coaptation aid for tensionless repair of severed peripheral nerves; AxoGuard Nerve Protector, a porcine submucosa extracellular matrix product used to wrap and protect damaged peripheral nerves; AxoGuard HA+ Nerve Protector, a porcine submucosa extracellular matrix base layer coated with a proprietary hyaluronate-alginate gel to enhance nerve gliding and provide short- and long-term protection; AxoGuard Nerve Cap, a porcine submucosa extracellular matrix product that protects peripheral nerve ends to reduce symptomatic neuroma formation; and Avive+ Soft Tissue Matrix, a multi-layer amniotic membrane allograft used to protect and separate tissues during surgical repair. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Alachua, Florida, the company serves reconstructive plastic surgeons, hand surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and other healthcare providers treating traumatic injuries, breast reconstruction, nerve decompression, oral/maxillofacial procedures, and pain management; its products address over 900,000 annual procedures in a market exceeding $2.7 billion and are available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and select European and international markets. In December 2025, AxoGen received FDA approval of its Biologics License Application for Avance Nerve Graft (arwx), transitioning the product from human cells, tissues, and cellular/tissue-based classification to a regulated biologic with 12 years of market exclusivity; the approval follows the RECON pivotal study completion and supports expanded commercialization. Recent financial performance reflects strong growth, with Q3 2025 revenue of $60.1 million, up 23.5% year-over-year, double-digit increases across all markets, raised full-year 2025 guidance to at least $222.8 million (19% growth), gross margins of 73-75%, and expectations for net cash flow positivity; payer coverage expansions added 18.1 million lives in 2025, reaching over 64% commercial coverage.
