Business
Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc. (Nasdaq: COLL) is a diversified biopharmaceutical company focused on developing, licensing, and commercializing differentiated medications for serious medical conditions, including moderate to severe pain and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); its commercial portfolio features Jornay PM, a central nervous system stimulant for ADHD treatment taken in the evening; Belbuca, a buprenorphine-containing buccal film for persistent pain requiring around-the-clock opioid analgesia; Xtampza ER, an abuse-deterrent extended-release oral oxycodone formulation; Nucynta ER and Nucynta IR, extended-release and immediate-release tapentadol products for severe pain management; and Symproic, an opioid antagonist available in the United States. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Stoughton, Massachusetts, the company operates primarily in the U.S. market, leveraging its DETERx platform technology for abuse-deterrent formulations and pursuing growth in pain management and neuropsychiatry segments through strategic portfolio expansion. In late 2024, Collegium completed the US$525 million acquisition of Ironshore Pharmaceuticals, integrating Jornay PM to establish a foothold in ADHD treatment and diversify beyond opioids; it also launched a US$150 million share repurchase program in early 2024, executing a US$25 million accelerated share repurchase in May 2025 while reporting 23% year-over-year revenue growth in the first quarter of 2025 driven by pain products and Jornay PM.
