Business
Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (NASDAQ: KALU) manufactures and sells semi-fabricated specialty aluminum mill products, including flat-rolled plate, sheet and coil; extruded rod, bar, hollows, shapes and tube; drawn rod, bar, pipe, tube and wire; cast aluminum products such as billets; aluminum forgings; and general engineering extrusions, rods and bars. The company serves end markets principally in aerospace and defense, aluminum beverage and food packaging, general engineering and automotive applications through sales personnel in the United States, Canada and Western Europe, as well as independent agents in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Founded in 1946 by Henry J. Kaiser and headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Kaiser Aluminum operates facilities including the Kaiser Aluminum Warrick site producing flat-rolled aluminum sheet for packaging and the Trentwood facility for heat-treat plate and sheet serving aerospace customers. In recent developments, the company closed a $500 million offering of new senior notes in November 2025 to support its capital structure. It continues expansion at the Warrick facility with a new roll coating line announced in 2021, targeting initial operations by 2024, alongside Trentwood capacity investments of about $25 million through 2025 to capture aerospace demand growth. Institutional investors such as Nuveen LLC and Envestnet Asset Management increased stakes in Kaiser Aluminum during 2025, reflecting confidence amid aluminum market dynamics.
