Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. (NYSE: MEC) is a leading U.S.-based value-added manufacturing partner providing a full suite of solutions from design and prototyping to production fabrication, coating, assembly, and aftermarket components for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The company offers core products and services including prototyping and tooling; conventional and CNC stamping, shearing, fiber laser cutting, tube laser cutting, forming, NC punching, drilling, tapping, grinding, roll forming, tube bending and forming, machining, turning, and comprehensive welding (MIG, TIG, spot, projection, stud, plasma, laser, brazing, robotic); mechanical and electromechanical assembly; finishing capabilities such as shot blasting, acid pickling, zinc phosphate, e-coating, powder coating, liquid coating, high-temperature coating, and military-grade chemical agent resistant coating (CARC) painting; and logistic services. MEC serves diverse end markets comprising heavy- and medium-duty commercial vehicles, construction and access equipment, powersports, agriculture, military, critical power infrastructure, data centers, renewable energy, and other industrial sectors, with customers including blue-chip OEMs. Founded in 1945 and headquartered in Mayville, Wisconsin, the company operates 26 manufacturing facilities totaling nearly three million square feet across seven states, including Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin, with recent expansions in key locations such as Hazel Park, Michigan. MEC maintains approximately 2,300 employees and holds the distinction of being named the nation's largest metal fabricator by Fabricator Magazine for 15 consecutive years. In a significant strategic development, MEC completed the acquisition of Accu-Fab, LLC on July 1, 2025, for $140.5 million, enhancing its capabilities in technology-driven metal fabrication, sheet metal integration, specialized finishing, and design engineering while accelerating entry into high-growth critical power infrastructure and data center markets. The transaction, funded through existing credit facilities, is immediately accretive to Adjusted EBITDA and is expected to generate $20-30 million in revenue synergies by 2026 through customer cross-selling, geographic expansion, and implementation of MEC's MBX operational excellence framework. This acquisition broadens MEC's customer base among large OEMs and supports long-term margin expansion beyond 15%.
