Business
Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc., through its diverse operations, is actively engaged in the thoughtful development, comprehensive management, and sale of residential, resort, commercial, agricultural, and industrial land assets across the Hawaiian Islands. Its strategic framework is organized into key operational divisions. The Property Development and Sales division spearheads land use planning, secures necessary entitlements, executes development projects, and manages the disposition of its extensive landholdings on Maui. This segment additionally offers licensed real estate brokerage expertise for properties situated within the acclaimed Kapalua Resort and adjacent vicinities. The Asset Management and Leasing division is responsible for commercial, agricultural, and industrial property rentals, alongside the strategic licensing of its proprietary trademarks and brand names. This area also encompasses significant land stewardship and conservation efforts. Crucially, it oversees the sophisticated water utility systems, including reservoirs, wells, and ditch infrastructure, that deliver both potable and non-potable water resources to communities in West and Upcountry Maui. The company has recently undertaken a strategic evaluation of these vital water assets for potential sale or lease. Furthermore, the Hospitality and Leisure division manages the operations of the Kapalua Club, an exclusive, non-equity membership program that grants its members special access, unique offerings, and distinguished privileges at select amenities throughout the world-renowned Kapalua Resort, including a full-service spa and private beach club. The company maintains significant land ownership, encompassing approximately 22,000 to 24,300 acres on the island of Maui, Hawaii, which includes the ecologically vital Puʻu Kukui Watershed Preserve. Recent initiatives include launching a new agricultural venture involving blue weber agave. Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. was established in 1909 and is headquartered in Lahaina, Hawaii. The company reported improved financial performance in the third quarter of 2025, driven by growth in leasing and land development activities.
