Business
Outbrain Inc. (NASDAQ: OB) operates as a leading technology platform for content discovery, native advertising, and omnichannel outcomes on the open internet, connecting publishers, advertisers, and audiences through AI-driven recommendations and performance marketing solutions. The company provides core products including Outbrain Smartfeed for publishers, featuring infinite scroll feeds, customizable organic and paid content recommendations, video monetization tools, and audience development capabilities; Outbrain Amplify for advertisers and agencies, offering native advertising placements across premium publisher inventory, performance-based cost-per-click bidding, demographic and interest targeting, lookalike audiences, and analytics dashboards; and post-merger enhancements from Teads integration, such as omnichannel video branding solutions, CTV inventory access via partnerships with top OEMs and streaming apps, proprietary creative experiences for full-funnel marketing from awareness to purchase, and an advanced AI prediction engine processing billions of signals for contextual, audience, and purchase-based targeting. Founded in 2006 in Israel by Yaron Galai and Ori Lahav and headquartered in New York, Outbrain maintains global operations across the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, South America, and Israel, with approximately 1,800 employees in 36 countries serving over 10,000 publishers and 20,000 advertisers. In a transformative development completed in February 2025, Outbrain acquired Teads for approximately $900 million in cash and stock from Altice, merging under the Teads brand to form one of the largest open internet platforms with combined 2024 advertising spend of $1.7 billion, Ex-TAC Gross Profit of $623 million, and Adjusted EBITDA of $230 million, including $65-75 million in expected annual synergies; the deal positions CEO David Kostman at the helm, with former Teads executives Jeremy Arditi and Bertrand Quesada as co-presidents for the Americas and International, while Altice nominates two board directors.
