Oil-Dri Corporation of America develops, manufactures and markets specialty sorbent mineral products from its reserves of calcium bentonite, attapulgite and diatomaceous shale for consumer and business-to-business applications worldwide; principal offerings include branded cat litters such as Cat’s Pride, Jonny Cat and Ultra Pet crystal silica-gel varieties, animal health products under the Amlan brand, industrial and automotive absorbents under the Oil-Dri brand, professional sports field and turf products under Pro’s Choice, agricultural carriers like Agsorb and Verge, and fluids purification media including Pure-Flo, Select, Metal X, Metal Z and Ultra Clear. The company serves pet care, animal nutrition and health, crop and horticulture, fluids purification, industrial, automotive, sports field and professional turf markets; it operates mines and plants in Georgia, Mississippi, Illinois and California, processing facilities in Canada and England, and subsidiaries in Switzerland, China, Indonesia and Mexico. Founded in 1941 and headquartered at 410 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, with research centers in Vernon Hills, Illinois, Oil-Dri maintains a vertically integrated structure as a publicly traded, family-controlled entity listed on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker ODC. In fiscal 2025, the company achieved record annual net sales and net income, reflecting 10% growth in fourth-quarter sales to $125.2 million and 37% annual net income increase, driven by its May 2024 acquisition of Ultra Pet Company, Inc. for $44 million to expand crystal cat litter offerings and leverage synergies, alongside robust performance in fluids purification from renewable diesel demand, agriculture recovery, elevated capital expenditures nearing $33 million for growth assets and a new data analytics function, 16% dividend hike, debt reduction and a 2-for-1 stock split.
