O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. is a leading retailer and distributor of automotive aftermarket parts, tools, supplies, equipment, and accessories to both professional service providers and do-it-yourself customers. Founded in 1957 and headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, the company operates more than 6,400 stores across 48 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada. Its stores provide new and remanufactured automotive hard parts and maintenance items, including alternators, batteries, brake system components, belts, chassis parts, driveline parts, engine parts, fuel pumps, hoses, starters, temperature control systems, water pumps, antifreeze, appearance products, engine additives, filters, fluids, lighting products, oil, and wiper blades; accessories such as floor mats, seat covers, and truck accessories; auto body paint and related materials; automotive tools; and professional service provider equipment. The company offers enhanced services and programs consisting of used oil, oil filter, and battery recycling; battery, wiper, and bulb replacement; battery diagnostic testing; electrical and module testing; check engine light code extraction; loaner tool program; drum and rotor resurfacing; and custom hydraulic hoses. Products are marketed under brands including BesTest, BrakeBest, Cartek, Import Direct, MasterPro, MicroGard, Murray, Omnispark, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Precision, PowerTorque, SuperStart, Syntec, and Ultima. In recent developments, O'Reilly opened 105 new stores in the first half of 2025 across 34 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, advancing toward a full-year target of 200 to 210 net new stores, and plans 225 to 235 openings in 2026 with emphasis on organic growth. The company acquired a 560,000-square-foot distribution center in Haslet, Texas, set to commence operations in 2027 to serve 350 stores in the South Central U.S. region, while nearing completion of a facility in Stafford, Virginia. It expanded into Canada via the December 2023 acquisition of Groupe Del Vasto (Vast-Auto), adding distribution centers, warehouses, and stores in Eastern Canada, and continues growth in Mexico following the 2019 purchase of Mayasa Auto Parts and the 2023 rebranding to O'Reilly Autopartes.
