Sinclair delivers content via over-the-air broadcasts, cable, streaming services such as Tennis.com and podcasts, and advanced technologies like ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV and ONE Media platforms; it targets advertisers, viewers and businesses nationwide, with operations spanning the United States and covering over 40% of U.S. households. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Hunt Valley, Maryland, the company functions through Local Media and Tennis segments, supplemented by other investments in digital and technical services. In 2025, Sinclair completed a comprehensive financial restructuring, issuing $1.43 billion in 8.125% first-lien secured notes due 2033 and amending credit facilities including a $575 million revolver; it closed 11 partner station acquisitions by November, with 10 more pending FCC approval, executed a station swap and a 4-market sale, and acquired non-licensed assets plus an NBC affiliation; the company also redeemed $89 million in 5.125% senior notes due 2027, signed Tennis Channel extensions with the International Tennis Federation through 2027-2028, and disclosed an 8.2% stake in E.W. Scripps amid potential merger discussions.
