The company pivoted from automotive components to solar in 2002, went public via IPO in 2021 as Shoals 2.0 with a refreshed brand, acquired ConnectPV in 2021 and MaxGen in 2022 to expand EBOS offerings, and in March 2025 extended its longstanding manufacturing partnership with First Solar, Inc. First Solar, Inc. in Alabama to supply custom junction boxes supporting U.S. solar reshoring, job creation and domestic supply chain growth amid rising electricity demand.
