Business
Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE: SEI), formerly Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure, Inc., provides mobile and scalable equipment-based solutions for distributed power generation and management of raw materials used in oil and natural gas well completions across the United States. The company operates in two primary segments: Solaris Power Solutions, which offers configurable all-electric natural gas-powered mobile turbines, ancillary power equipment, and turnkey power-as-a-service solutions for primary, bridge, and backup power needs serving data centers, energy, exploration and production, oilfield services, and industrial customers; and Solaris Logistics Solutions, which designs and manufactures specialized mobile proppant and fluid management systems, provides field technician support, last-mile and mobilization logistics services, and delivers software solutions including Railtronix for inventory management to oil and natural gas operators and suppliers. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, with manufacturing in Early, Texas, the company serves all major U.S. shale plays such as the Permian, Eagle Ford, Marcellus/Utica, Haynesville, STACK/SCOOP, and Bakken formations. Recent strategic developments include the September 2024 acquisition of Mobile Energy Rentals LLC for $200 million, which expanded its power generation capacity to 153 MW (with plans to reach 478 MW by late 2025 and 1,400 MW by mid-2027) and prompted the corporate name change to reflect its broadened energy infrastructure focus; the August 2025 acquisition of HVMVLV LLC to enhance power control, distribution, and voltage regulation capabilities for complex loads; a new joint venture and power solutions contract announced in Q1 2025; and a $325 million senior secured term loan plus public offerings to fund fleet growth and capital expenditures projected at $690 million for 2025.
