TransDigm Group Incorporated designs, produces and supplies highly engineered proprietary aerospace components, systems and subsystems for commercial, military and regional aircraft platforms worldwide; founded in 1993 and headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, the company operates through approximately 120 manufacturing facilities and 90 independent units across the globe, serving OEMs, airlines, defense agencies and aftermarket distributors. Its products span three primary segments: Power & Control, featuring mechanical/electromechanical actuators, ignition systems, pumps, valves, power conditioning devices, electric motors, generators, batteries, databus controls, sensors, switches, hoists, winches, cargo systems and microwave components; Airframe, encompassing latching and locking devices, engineered rods and connectors, elastomer seals, cockpit security systems, advanced displays, audio/radio/antenna systems, lavatory components, seatbelts, safety restraints, interior surfaces, thermal protection, lighting, parachutes and testing equipment; and Non-aviation, including restraints for ground transport, space actuators, gas turbine valves and heavy equipment refueling systems. Approximately 90% of revenues derive from proprietary products with significant aftermarket content, estimated at 55% of fiscal 2024 net sales, supporting long product lifecycles exceeding 50 years on key platforms. The company targets diversified markets including commercial aftermarket (31% of fiscal 2024 sales), commercial OEM (27%) and defense (40%), with top customers like Boeing Distribution Services and Satair representing under 10% individually. Recent developments include the October 2025 completion of the $765 million acquisition of Simmonds Precision Products from RTX Corporation, enhancing power and control offerings; the May 2025 $110 million purchase of Servotronics, bolstering servo valves and aftermarket components; the July 2024 $655 million acquisition of Raptor Scientific, expanding testing and instrumentation capabilities; alongside ongoing integration efforts and fiscal 2024 revenue growth amid aerospace recovery.
