In recent developments, United Therapeutics announced the first human transplant in its EXPAND clinical trial of UKidney for end-stage renal disease in November 2025, marking a milestone in xenotransplantation; the company reported positive top-line results from the phase 3 TETON-2 pivotal study of nebulized Tyvaso in IPF in September 2025, meeting the primary endpoint and key secondary measures across subgroups; it initiated a $1 billion accelerated share repurchase program in August 2025 with Citibank to return capital to shareholders while supporting growth; and earlier acquired IVEVA and MiroMatrix to bolster organ manufacturing expertise, alongside investments in new manufacturing facilities and designated pathogen-free sites.
